The university is implementing a competition for promising scientific research projects
22 December 2025
This is a continuation of the successful initiative launched in 2021 and aimed at stimulating scientific activity among university staff and students.
The competition of promising scientific research provides for the allocation of funding to projects with high potential for publishing research results in highly rated publications, access to dissertations, as well as the development of innovative educational modules. An important feature of the competition is the mandatory participation of students. This approach is aimed at attracting young researchers and supporting those who are working on their scientific degrees.
As part of the reporting campaign (2022-2025), 54 articles were prepared and published by the participants of the competition in the world's leading and domestic databases, including Scopus, WoS, RSCI and RSCI. The scientists have presented more than a hundred reports at major international conferences, defended three PhD theses, and continue to work on five more PhD and two doctoral theses.
The project results obtained formed the basis for the application materials for 2 grants from the Russian National Research Foundation and 6 subjects of the state assignment of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which Saratov Medical University is successfully fulfilling in 2024-2027.
A special feature of the new generation of the competition is the focus of the research teams of the Razumovsky State Medical University on obtaining, first of all, product developments (medicines, medical devices, technologies) that take into account the level of product technology availability as the main criterion for the University's competitive advantage.
According to the results of the Competition, the best research teams of the university will receive from 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 rubles annually for the implementation of the project. The development team can use the funds for the project to purchase equipment and supplies, as well as to fund the remuneration of project members.
The implementation of the advanced research projects competition will allow the University to form successful research teams capable of solving the tasks of developing technologies and products that meet the national interests of Russia, as well as create a portfolio of product developments for further transfer and planned commercialization.
